Heya, Hi, Hello!
I’m Vick, the artist behind The Digital Valkerie. I create character art, comics, and stories that aim to let people know about love in all of its forms.
I enjoy Doctor Who, Digimon, and Sonic the Hedgehog, and draw a great deal of inspiration from the experiences I’ve had with each of them.
Explore My WorkEvery Artist Starts Somewhere
I’ve been drawing since I could hold up a crayon, improving and honing my skills every day.
From the days of pausing VHS tapes and tracing over the TV to learn the shapes, to studying real human and animal skulls and combining their structures to create a unique style of non-human characters, my passion has only grown with every new idea that comes to mind.
Why I Create
I create because of one thing. Love.
A love for the art, a love for myself, and a love for love itself.
I want to write and create the stories that I now realize I could have used growing up as an oddball of a child. Stories that remind people they are not alone, even when it feels like they are.
Stories that tell you that you will find your people, your home, and your real love.
Creating Together
When I work with a client, potentially you, I don’t just want to create something pretty. I want to create something that makes you feel seen, something uniquely yours.
Whether it’s bringing an original character to life, sharing your vision of an existing IP, or illustrating a comic that tells the story you’ve been waiting to share, I believe the best artwork comes from collaboration, patience, and passion.
My goal is to make the entire process welcoming, fun, and, most importantly, easy to understand from start to finish, so together we can bring your ideas to life.
Collaboration
Your ideas, feedback, and vision remain an important part of the artwork from beginning to end.
Patience
The process is explained clearly, with room to ask questions and understand what happens next.
Passion
Every piece is created with care for the character, story, and meaning behind your idea.
